A Message from the Dean
For the Keystone College Community
A Message from the Campus Response Team
Dear Keystone Family Members:
Keystone has long recognized the importance of emergency preparedness and is committed to protecting the safety, health, and well-being of our campus community.
On Thursday, June 11, 2009, the World Health Organization raised the pandemic alert level to Phase 6, indicating that a sustained community-level transmission of the virus is taking place in more than one region of the world. WHO's decision to raise the pandemic alert level to Phase 6 is a reflection of the spread of the virus, not the severity of illness caused by the virus.
As we are all aware, the outbreak of the A/H1N1 influenza virus is a matter of concern and widespread attention. Our Campus Response Team and Health Services Department are vigilant in keeping abreast of the situation as it unfolds. Keystone College has an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) which is being used to guide our decisions and actions. We have tested our plan on many occasions through participation in numerous drills and exercise, all of which have enhanced our ability to respond quickly and effectively if an emergent situation warrants implementation of the Emergency Action Plan.
