Undergraduate College Access Network

Keystone's Undergraduate College Access Network (U-CAN) reaches out to high potential first-generation students from seven high schools located in rural county areas contiguous to our campus. Through this initiative, and with the assistance of the VISTA member and the U-CAN team, Keystone will work in partnership with these targeted high schools to offer a series of presentations, workshops, and experiential opportunities designed to increase the number of students who actively pursue a post-secondary education.

The Program

Components of the U-CAN program included in a one-day workshop on Keystone College’s campus are:

• Career Exploration through the Discover® Program
• Campus tours
• Learning Styles Workshop
• Break out sessions with faculty and staff that are in the student’s field of interest
• Peer mentor program
• SAT prep and FAFSA information
