Keystone College accelerated education certificate program student student Nicole Thomas has been awarded the 2023 Pennsylvania ASCD Mary Ravita scholarship from the Pennsylvania Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
As a long term substitute teacher and full time autistic support teacher at John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Scranton, she is enrolled in the LEEP (Learn and Earn Educational Program), which offers accelerated certification to address the teacher shortage. She received her bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from Penn State University and is seeking certification through Keystone’s accelerated program in special education for K-12 and preK-4.
